Blacklordof Cairo is registered
with the CAHR (Canadian Arabian Horse Registry). He has a "Transport
of Semen Permit" and is also DNA and blood-typed with the CAHR. Our
stallion is also an IAHA Sweepstakes nominated
sire.
Below is a list of general requirements for registration of offspring.
However, these are always subject to change. Please make sure
of your registry's requirements for all involved before entering
into a contract. Be aware that there are still some registries that
won't recognize foals obtained by using transported frozen semen.
Purebred Foal Registration with CAHR:
Assuming that the mare is registered and DNA-typed with the CAHR,
and she resides in Canada.
Procedure for transported semen:
Mare is bred
Foal is born
Obtain Transported/Stored Semen Service Certificate (from us)
Send in Service Certificate with completed Registration Application(to
CAHR)
DNA test your foal
Procedure for live cover:
Mare is bred
Foal is born
Obtain necessary signatures on Application for Registration (from
us, which we get from CAHR)
Send in completed Registration Application (to CAHR)
DNA test your foal
Notes:
Register foal before 6 months of age
Obtain forms by contacting the Registry, or download them from their
web site

Send in completed Breeder's Sweepstakes Entry Form (to IAHA)
Foal is born
(Send copy of Certificate of Registration after foal is registered)

Nominate before November 30 in the year in which the foal
is conceived

Authority Member:
Assuming that the mare is registered and DNA-typed with a WAHO Registering Authority Member,
and she resides in a WAHO approved country.

we get from PAHR)
Send in Service Certificate with completed Registration Application
(to WAHO Registering Authority Member)
DNA test your foal
Notes:
Contact your registry, before breeding your mare, and
find out if your registry has any special requirements that you
will need to fulfill. They may also be able to advise you of any
problems associated with importing equine semen into your country
