you leaf through any Arabian horse publication, you will notice that most
stallions are advertised as being “Sweepstakes Nominated”. Blacklordof Cairo
is now also nominated. This means that all foals sired by him are eligible
to enter the Sweepstakes program as Breeding Entries.
Why join IAHA affiliate clubs?
Membership in IAHA is mandatory to enroll horses and receive prize
money the International Arabian Breeders Sweepstakes. The most economical
way join through an affiliated club membership. You your area, it
costs about US$40 plus dues. See web site for a list of clubs.
Membership
entitles you to receive membership benefits, such as discounts, access
to shows and clinics, newsletters, and a free subscription to IAH magazine.
Why enter your foal as Sweepstakes Breeding Entry?
All
foals sired by Blacklordof Cairo are eligible to enter the Sweepstakes
program as Breeding Entries, which costs US$300, a one-time fee.
Breeding
Entries are eligible to win prize money in any Sweepstakes-designated
payout event for the life of that horse. They are also eligible to compete
in the Regional Yearling Sweepstakes Halter classes or the Purebred Two-Year-Old
Gelding class.
The foal must be enrolled before November 30 in the year in which it
is conceived. The IAHA does carry a "live foal guarantee" on the
Breeding Entry (see the IAHA web site for more information).
